Queer shorts Dutch Courage

The Netherlands is one of the most progressive and culturally liberal countries in the world in regards to LGBTQ+ rights, ranking highly in ILGA Europe’s index for equality.

More than 90% of Dutch people support same-sex marriage and Amsterdam has frequently been named one of the most LGBTQ+-friendly cities in the world, famous for its many gay bars, bathhouses, hotels, and other spaces.

But what remaining and new challenges are emerging? Is the Netherlands really an idyll for the LGBTQ+ community? Are all voices heard? And can we really speak of true equality and equity among the broad range of diverse groups that exist?

Find out about it at our film event Dutch Courage!
