1. Nova, Luca Meisters, 2021, 10 min.
When Nova brings her little sister to soccer practice, she exchanges a glance with the new trainer Nadia, which results in a feeling she can’t seem to put a finger on..
2. Buddy, Niels Bourgonje, 2015, 11 min.
When a young man is asked by his ex lover to support him during an HIV test, he sees an opportunity to find out if there’s still a chance for reconciliation.
3. Girlsboysmix, Lara Aerts, 2020, 7 min.
Short documentary about Wen Long, an intersex child. The nine-year-old is very happy that her parents give her the freedom to decide for herself whether she wants to go through life as a boy or girl. It is, however, not always easy.
4. AYOR, Tom Bakker, 2021, 11 min.
During the national commemoration of Remembrance Day in 1970, two young men try to make a statement against gay discrimination. In the moments before and after the incident, their doubt, fear and firm belief becomes clear.
5. BEȘ, Ayla Çekin Satijn, 2021, 7 min.
When a young Turkish, lesbian woman has to return to her hometown to attend the traditional Turkish wedding of her childhood friend, she's afraid of not being accepted in her community. When she sees her four childhood friends again, she finds out that she herself is the one with the greatest prejudices.
6. If Nothing as it seems, Evan Hobers, 2019, 14 min.
Anne Chris lies awake at night, doubting. He doesn’t feel like he belongs in the body he was born with, but he is not sure if transitioning is the solution to the problem. He is afraid that after transitioning he still won’t feel comfortable. We follow the tornado-like thoughts and experience the rollercoaster of emotions that he goes through.
7. Foster, Jordi Wijnalda, 2021, 13 min.
An all-male foster family tries to enjoy one last morning together, before their unity will be broken by what was inevitable all along.
8. Dancing with Gender, Jorinde Hol, 2021, 3 min.
Our society is extremely binary focussed, we think in female- and male-boxes, but not everyone identifies with those terms. In this short documentary you’ll hear several non-binary people talk about their experiences and perception of gender. Led by their voices and fluid line work, you’ll learn what the term means to them.
9. Short calf muscle, Victoria Warmerdam, 2019, 13 min.
Short Calf Muscle is an absurdist black comedy about Anders. And Anders is different. But he doesn't know that. Yes, he's also gay, but that's not the point here. There is also this thing that others see but he doesn’t.
